Volunteer a Day of Service with Nathaniel’s Hope and Get a Day at Disney FREE!

Disney is offering a free pass for anyone who volunteers for one day with Nathaniel’s Hope! We have many ways for you to be involved… serving as a Buddy at Buddy Break, volunteering in the office, etc. If you currently serve with us as a Buddy at Buddy Break, you need to register through the Disney website to get your free day AND call the location of your choice to sign-up for a particular Buddy Break.

To Pre-Register with Disney:

1. Go to the Disney Website: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/disneyparks/en_US/WhatWillYouCelebrate/index?name=Give-A-Day-Get-A-Disney-Day-Search
2. Type in the zip code/postal code of 32809 since that’s our organization’s zip code and leave “All” in the Volunteer Opportunity Interest box
3. The next page that comes up will show zillions of pages more for you to check, but just scroll all the way down to the bottom of that first page. There is a paragraph that says: "Not finding enough opportunities? Try broadening your search. Select ALL interest areas. Click here for information for HandsOn Network partner organizations you can contact that will have additional qualifying opportunities."
4. Click on the “Click here” link in that sentence.
5. Find Nathaniel’s Hope’s listing
6. Scroll down to the place within our organization’s entry where it asks for your email address, but DO NOT PUT YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IN THE BOX.
7. Instead, keep reading the next sentence where it says: “Note: If you have already contacted this organization, found a qualifying opportunity and confirmed a date and time to volunteer, click here to complete the sign-up process.”
8. Click in the sentence where it says to “Click here.”
9. Fill out the ENTIRE form. Read very carefully!
10. If you are signing up to be a Buddy for Buddy Break, you need to pay close attention. Please make a note if you have a particular Buddy Break you serve. When you get to the Volunteer Opportunity part of the form, it will only allow you to put in one date and time; however, we are requiring you to sign-up for two Buddy Breaks to get a complete eight hours of volunteer time. That means that before you have completed the first Buddy Break, you will need to go back into your account (“edit my account”) and add the second date. Nathaniel’s Hope will then have both of your dates recorded. You will hear from HandsOn/Disney after your second volunteer date has been completed.
