Florida Family Policy Council invites you to join and support an organization committed to educating and informing Florida's citizens on a range of public policy issues. All public policy solutions and commentary originating from FFPC is rooted in the following framework of values and beliefs:
Florida Family Policy Council believes God is the author of life, liberty and family. Our aim is to promote a Christian worldview as the basis for sound public policy and a just, free and stable society.
We believe God is sovereign, creating man in His own image. Therefore, the right to life is a sacred principle, and fundamental to all political and Constitutional rights.
We affirm that life and love are inextricable, finding their natural expression in the institutions of marriage and family, the foundation of civilization. Government has a duty to promote and protect these essential cultural ingredients in law and public policy.
Finally, FFPC believes that humility and integrity are the cornerstones of Christian character, influencing all we do.

LucasWorks was founded in 2004 to solve some of the problems that parents and caregivers face when raising a child with autism, PDD, or other developmental disabilities. Their Independent Living products teach basic living skills, like how to dress for the temperature. They have a variety of safety products to help you keep your child safe while at home, at Grandma's house, etc. They also have ID products that include places to list your child's meds and conditions.
In addition to providing products that help the families of children with autism and developmental disabilities, the goal at LucasWorks is to employ these students as they finish school. LucasWorks provides a training ground through the local school district for students with autism and developmental disabilities to learn job skills as they assemble and ship the products. The goal is to employ them when they finish school.
The LucasWorks website hosts valuable information. In addition to offering products to help children with autism and developmental disabilities, they share their story to help others trying to plan for their child's future. There are articles about parenting a child with autism, links to products and services for families, and a feedback page for customers to tell them what they need, or to ask a question.

In 1985 the Wish Program was founded as a not-for-profit charity to grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses who have not yet reached their 18th birthday nor had a wish granted previously. A life-threatening illness is defined by New Hope for Kids as any illness which will in all likelihood shorten the child's full life expectancy. Since its beginning, more than 1200 wishes have been granted.
Although the New Hope for Kids Wish Program is not able to cure the life-threatening illnesses of their wish children, it is proud to grant wishes and provide follow-up support in order to lighten the burden for the children and their families and improve the quality of time remaining in the child's life.

OASIS stands for Online Asperger Syndrome Information and Support.
As parents of children who are diagnosed with AS, we understand how essential is it that families of children diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome and related disorders, educators who teach children with AS, professionals working with individuals diagnosed with AS, and individuals with AS who are seeking support, have access to information. Although recently reminded that there is no oasis or paradise for those with Asperger Syndrome, we sincerely hope that they, along with parents and professionals, will find a bit of shade and support via the information presented and links available at this site.

Helping children overcome disabilities and developmental delays is a community effort, one that requires commitment, generosity, innovation, and leadership.
For nearly 50 years, United Cerebral Palsy of Central Florida, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) agency, has been making life better for those who need our help the most--children working to overcome disabilities resulting from a variety of conditions, including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, spina bifida, autism, and others. Today, more than 1,600 children and their families receive services in our six child development centers, in their homes and in the community. Since 2001, our centers have been designated as preschool charter schools in Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties, providing tuition-free education for eligible children from birth to age 5. We also provide outpatient pediatric physical, speech, and occupational therapy, as well as family support for children up to age 21 at six locations.
