Make ‘m Smile is the BIGGEST party celebrating kids with special needs…our VIPs! This annual community festival is the first Saturday of June in Downtown Orlando for kids and adults with all types of special needs and their families! In 2016, Make ‘m Smile hosted 50,000 participants, including 2,500 VIPs, and this year, we expect an even bigger bash as we celebrate 15 years of smiles! We also invite the general public to join in the fun and stroll around the park, enjoying entertainment, food, and family activities. VIPs = FREE! Buddies/General Public = $5/each!

VIPs

Make ‘m Smile is all about kids and adults with special needs…our VIPs. VIPs are invited to come as our honored guests!

Special needs include any physical, cognitive, medical or hidden disability, chronic or life threatening illness, or those who are medically fragile. Proof of disability is required.

Event wristbands are needed for event participation, including entertainment, free food, drinks and goodies.  Each VIP will receive a FREE wristband for their immediate family (parents, care givers, siblings/brothers/sisters); additional wristbands can be purchased for other family members (aunt, uncle, grandparents, cousins, etc.) and friends for a cost of $5 per wristband.

VIP registration will open on April 1st.

Buddies

Buddies are individuals, couples, and families who join the party as friends to individuals with special needs (VIPs). During the event, Buddies will be matched up with a VIP family for a Friendship Stroll around Lake Eola. A Buddy’s time commitment is 2-4 hours, but can continue as long as desired!

Event wristbands are required for all participants. Buddy wristbands will be available for a donation of $5/person online or at the event.

Buddy registration will open on April 1st.

Volunteers

Our Smile Team Volunteers help set up and run the event from start to finish. Volunteers receive an assigned position and commit to work the entire event (5:30 am – 2:30 pm)! Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and attend a mandatory volunteer training meeting. If you are not able to make this commitment, please volunteer to be a Buddy! Volunteer registration will open on April 1st.
