Make ‘m Smile
Mark your calendar now for our 15th Annual Make ‘m Smile Festival on Saturday, June 3, 2017!!
Make ‘m Smile is our annual community festival the first Saturday of every June dedicated to lovin’ on VIP Kids (kids with all types of special needs/disabilities) and their families. We invite people from the community to stroll around the park, while enjoying entertainment, food, and family activities. It’s the biggest party celebrating kids with special needs!
Kids with special needs are our VIPs, and this day is for them!
VIP kids are any kids with special needs including any physical, cognitive, medical or hidden disability, chronic or life threatening illness, or those who are medically fragile. Proof of disability is required.
Event wristbands are required for event participation, including entertainment, free food, drinks and goodies. Each VIP will receive a FREE wristband for their immediate family (parents, care givers, siblings/brothers/sisters); additional wristbands can be purchased for your other family members (aunt, uncle, grandparents, cousins, etc.) and friends for a cost of $5 per wristband.
Buddies are individuals, couples, and/or families that would like to “Be a Buddy” Friend for the event by joining a VIP kid(s) and their family for a Friendship Stroll around Lake Eola. Your time commitment is 2-4 hours, but you can stay as long as you’d like!
Event wristbands are required for all participants. Buddy wristbands will be available for a donation of $5/person in advance or at the event. We only offer wristbands free to our VIPs and their immediate families!
Our Smile Team Volunteers help set up and run the event from start to finish. They commit to work the entire event (5:30 am – 2:30 pm) to help make everyone smile! Must be at least 16 years old and attend a mandatory training meeting. If you are not able to make this BIG commitment, please volunteer to be a Buddy!
